Burke Lake District Summer Camp

The Burke Lake District is hosting a BSA Summer Camp June 23- 27 at Occoquan Regional Park in Lorton. This 5-day adventure will include archery, sling shots, climbing wall, STEM Scout skills and arts & crafts.

Day camp is for registered Cub Scouts entering grades 1-5. To participate, the Pack must provide one adult volunteer per five scouts. Those entering 1st Grade must also be accompanied by an adult during their participation.

Registration fee is $200 per Cub Scout.

Spring Family Camping

Scouting is an outdoor activity, and so it’s time to get back to nature during Pack 50 Spring Family Camping, on April 5-6 at Camp Wilson in the Pohick Bay Regional Park in Lorton VA. This historic BSA site offers some amazing hiking trails, historic sites, and plenty of space to explore!

Pack activities are scheduled from 2pm Saturday through 9am Sunday. We will enjoy a Pack dinner and breakfast together, and there will be fun activities planned for our scouts and their families. There is no cost for this camp-out... the Pack covers all camping fees. Day campers are also welcome.

Scout Sunday

The Holy Spirit Parish will recognize Scout Sunday, an annual nation-wide event. All Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and members of other scouting-like organizations are encouraged to join the celebration of Scout Sunday by wearing their uniforms and joining in at the 10:30am Mass.

Pack Fishing Adventure

8:30am @ Heron Pond (8412-8422 Lake Crest Terrace, Fairfax Station, VA 22039)

Fishing is an important part of the scouting outdoor activities and is offered as an elective adventure. Please save the date: September 28 - more details to follow!

Pack 50 scouts will have the opportunity to meet and talk with a local competitive fisherman. He will talk with our scouts about fishing basics and safety. Bring your rods and fishing gear! Bait will be provided. Pack 50 will have a few extra rods for those who need them.
